Quilt, crochet, or tie fleece? We'd love your blankets.

Every blanket we give is new and handmade by a neighbor. Tell us what you'd like to make, and we'll match it to the kids who need it most.

Three blanket fabrics: a chevron fleece, a patchwork quilt and a moon-and-stars print

What we need right now

Our biggest gap is tween and teen blankets — ages 10 and up, about 45–50" × 60–65".

Blanket guidelines

Blankets are intended to be a "snuggly" size for lounging on a chair or sofa. They go home with a child and stay with them, so please make them to last.

  • New materials only. Please use only new fabric and yarn.
  • Not needed: infant blankets, bed blankets, or pillowcases.
  • Any technique is welcome — quilted, crocheted, knitted, or tied fleece.
  • Match the print to the age. If using a printed fabric, please try to match the print to the age group of the child.

Size guide

  • Toddler to kindergarten — ages 2–5, small: 35" × 45"
  • Elementary school — ages 6–9, medium: 40–45" × 50–55"
  • Tweens & teens — ages 10 and up, large: 45–50" × 60–65"

All sizes approximate — a few inches either way is fine.
